A Quick Guide to Install Control Web Panel (CWP)

 2 min

A free server administration tool for Enterprise Linux-based distributions is Control Web Panel (CWP). CWP is an advanced cPanel replacement that manages everything you’d need for a server. When it comes to installation, users face challenges.

To make them overcome hurdles, here are easy steps to install a Control Web Panel (CWP).

Step 1

Log into SSH as root

Step 2

Update YUM using the following command

yum -y update

Step 3

Enter the following command in the terminal and restart your server to apply updates.

reboot

Step 4

Login again and navigate to your “/local” directory instead of using your user directory to download CWP using the command given below.

cd /usr/local/src

Step 5

Restart the system with the command:

reboot

After completing these entire processes, you will get an installed CWP on your server. Novice users who find the server management a challenging task may refer to this article and manage an unmanaged server hassle-free.
