Rescue mode enables users to boot a small Linux environment from another disk. With it, you can rescue your primary Linux VPS or backup files that are present on it.
To Enable Rescue Mode from the Launchpad Dashboard
1. Log in to your Launchpad account.
2. Click on the arrow icon of the server as shown below.
3. Click on the Rescue tab and enter a new root password in the Root Password and Confirm Password fields.
4. Click on the Enable Rescue Mode button.
A success message flashes and within a few seconds, the Launchpad enables Rescue mode.
