Errors when changing permissions from Plesk FileManager

When trying to update the permissions from Plesk File Manager, it does not allows you to and shows errors as below.

FileManager::get_file_info_wrapper() failed: filemng util failed: Maps a character string to a wide-character (Unicode) string failed

FileManager::get_file_info_wrapper() failed: filemng util failed: Unknown error 0x800A0CC1 (COM Error 800A0CC1, Description: Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal.) at execute “C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\/admin/bin/filemng” username –permissions –list-common “–file=C:/inetpub/vhosts//domain.com/httpdocs/_teste.cfm”

This is because of the filemng.exe has got corrupt. You will have to replace the exe file depending on the plesk version installed. Download filemng.exe for Plesk 10.x OR filemng.exe for Plesk 9.x.

Download the file and replace it with the current one under “C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\/admin/bin” OR “C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\/admin/bin”. Try changing the permissions now. If you still face any issues, feel free to contact our support team.
