What is registrar lock or domain transfer protection?

 1 min

Registrar lock is a feature that protects the domain name from unauthorized transfer or forgery transfer request by hackers to steal your domain and take control over it. To protect the domains from internet hackers, registrar lock is activated by default for all the domains. To transfer the domain to a new registrar the registrar lock needs to be removed first and then you should place the transfer request at the new registrar. See how to unlock the domain.
