OCSP stands for ‘Online Certificate Status Protocol’. In case the OCSP is not able to determine the status of secure certificate, following error message is displayed by Mozilla Firefox:
The OCSP server has no status for the certificate.
This error can be avoided by going to the Mozilla Firefox settings > Edit > Preferences from the menu.
When the ‘Preferences’ window opens, click on the ‘Advanced’ tab and then select the ‘Encryption’ sub tab.
On the next page click on the ‘Validation’ option and make sure that this check box is not selected : ‘Use the Online Certificate Status Report (OSCP) to confirm the current validity of certificates’.
Click on ‘Ok’ for saving the settings and close the preferences window.
After this, the pages will load perfectly.
Keep in mind that if you uncheck this option, the SSL certificate will not be verified.
