Managing administrators for your hosting is a task requiring you to be careful at all times. You can create and assign admin accounts to administrators, but there are times you may have to disable them temporarily. With DirectAdmin, you can easily suspend and unsuspend an admin account whenever the need arises.
Let’s see how!
To Suspend an Admin Account
1. Log in to your admin account of the DirectAdmin panel.
2. Click on List Administrators in the Account Manager section.
As the name suggests, you will see the list of active administrators on your hosting.
3. Select the admin account/accounts you want to suspend by ticking the box beside them.
4. Click on the Suspend button that will appear at the top-side of the list.
5. Select a Reason to suspend the account from the dropdown list.
You can also enter more Details for the account suspension in the text field if you want.
There is also an option to Override Suspension Message. Ticking it will stop DirectAdmin from sending the suspension email to the admin user.
6. Click the SUSPEND button.
A tiny warning icon will appear beside the suspended admin account in the list.
To Unsuspend an Admin Account
1. Log in to your admin account of the DirectAdmin panel.

4. Click on the Unsuspend button that will appear at the top-side of the list.
The warning icon beside the suspended account will disappear, and a success message will flash, indicating the account is now unsuspended.
